As you folks may know, Jerry B. Gave me this phonograph and just recently I got the motor back from the shop (Jerry brought that too). Here are some (low quality) photos of it and a video I made (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXp3Ga2eVP0). I wish I had a better camera.

Re: My Premier Phonograph
A very interesting machine, I have never seen one. The sound is quite good. I am guessing your playing a electrical recording since it has quite a bit of bass? The machine it self would be from the acoustic period wouldn't it?

Yes, it would be from the acoustic era, though I am not sure of the year. It does play very well.
I is a neat switch. It also has a volume control rod on the same side which pulls a wooden block into the middle of the sound tubing in the machine. Due to the design, there is a sound leak into the cabinet. There is a decorative cut in front of the turntable which actually lets some of that "lost" sound be heard. Perhaps that was part of the design...alang wrote:That is a nice machine, plays nice as well. Interesting turntable brake switch.

This is a different model of Premier. I'm trying to find a manual, if anyone knows where I can find one, I'd be grateful.
