Transferring this record likely took more work and time than I should have spent on it given its usefulness as a recording. But, I think some people might find it interesting. 10 excerpts from Edison Diamond Disc records presented on a 2 sided 12 inch Edison Sample Record. Each selection is announced by title, performer, and catalog number. Then just under a minute of the song plays and abruptly ends as it moves to the next song.
There is not a groove between songs so the stylus has to just move to the next tune on a blank surface. On my Diamond Disc machine sometime the reproducer gets stuck for a few seconds. On my modern turntable the stylus just moved forward with the momentum of the moving record.

Thank you for posting that. I've always wondered what one of those sample records sounded like, but I've also always been too cheap to pay the going tariff for one. Interesting to hear once, but not the sort of thing that would repay repeat listening, I'd think.
