I think I can speak for the seller, Tom Hawthorn. I doubt very much that he would would destroy anything related to vintage music or machines. He has sold some sound boxes and reproducers over the years on Ebay, but nothing that would account for all those plates.

But seeing those, it reminds me of a collector that I believe is on this list, who has a postcard of a "Phonograph Graveyard" Both spectacular and horrific. Once you see it, you'll NEVER forget it.

Agree- Tom is mainly a record seller. I'll bet all this was out of someone's collection that Tom either bought or consigned. I have bought lots of things from Tom over the years!
