I’d agree. I was watching a few record lots and the prices just kept going up! I got the Victrolita, anyone else get anything?

I don't mean to go off topic.... but, I have noticed that prices in several places/venues lately have seemed a little stronger than in the past. I am a bargain hunter (translation: I buy cheap  ) I have been a tad "surprised" by some of the prices realized lately on facebook, craigslist, auctions, etc.

Who would have thought? I would have bet prices would stay low for a while. Guess the hobby is strong! I am a business historian/enthusiast so I pay close attention to stuff like this.... ;)

I went to the preview for this auction. It was pretty well organized. I think online auctions tend to bring higher prices, especially during these times when sales are fewer and farther between. Without in-person inspection you can expect surprises either bad or good.
The prices were too high for what I was interested in.

They sold an Edison Standard Model E with matching blue flowered horn for $215-ish. Usually the horn alone would fetch that kind of money!

Looking at this auction I now realize I should have signed up & bought a couple little clocks & some Graphophones to fix up.
