Missing Diamond Disc

Post by edisonplayer »

Recently on Ebay I bought a late electric Diamond Disc. Instead of sending the package to the town I live in it was sent to a different town.I called my post office and they said they'll soon resolve this.Hope to see my record soon. edisonplayer

I'm getting upset about this. If I don't have the package by the end of next week I'll have to put a tracer on it. edisonplayer.

Not sure why, but packages for me are taking at least twice the time they did before there was a pandemic. Looking at tracking shows that half of the time is taken up going the last 10 miles of the journey.

Hope your package gets to you soon!

Good luck. The staff at some post offices are helpful, while at others, not so much. I hope you are dealing with one of the good ones. :|

It is due to the major interruption of normal transportation services. I had the same situation and it finally arrived without issue. The funny thing about it was I sent two items via USPS to nearby cities, one Media Mail and one Regular. Media arrived a week earlier.

Right now the idiom of "a watched pot never boils" applies.

This. Priority is taking a week or more to me and media mail two to almost four weeks- same with international postal service packages.

And lately packages have sometimes circled around to 2 or 3 other post offices within a 30-mile radius of me in NJ before going to the right onE, and that after going to someplace like NH from an origin just 3 miles away from here.

I recently had a box sent to me in Mass. from Florida. It got to within 90 miles of me, then suddenly diverted to California, where it stayed for a week or so. I did get it, but it took 3 weeks instead of 3 days. Things are indeed crazy.

I have stopped to receive any international mail from the US because it's so bad now. The last package was dispatched from California by mid-March. It went from LA to Honolulu, then to Tokyo, then to Frankfurt where it collected dust for another 10 days at our beloved customs. Even before the pandemic, our customs were known to be so slow they couldn't even catch a cold. Two days longer it would have been 7 weeks.

On the other hand, DHL has canceled their commodity mail shipping method, so instead of about $10 I would now have to charge $60 to ship the same item to the US, not worth the hassle.
