Raphael- I would not be surprised if this winds up being one of the reasons the CEO was suddenly ousted some months ago. Stay tuned.

Some quite senior 'roque' employees. The fact that they behave like this suggests a culture of stifling criticism by any which means. Ebay is an incredibly powerful and rich organisation and this comes as no surprise to me. Why else would a company have a Global 'Intelligence' Center? To gather intelligence and it won't be the positive reviews and information that they will be most interested in.

The only thing that will cut eBay down to size is serious competition. Craigslist has a presence in the USA, but is a minor player in the UK. Until I joined this forum I had never heard of it.

We all have our beefs with eBay. But just like Amazon, WalMart and many other companies, they are part of our economic infrastructure and not going away anytime soon, despite all the griping we do about them. Best to just concentrate on what aspects of their offerings align with one’s buying or selling needs.

Intel comes in many different forms. A company eBay’s size needs every shape and variety to move forward, or end up like Kodak, who lived in the past and is now consigned to it.

On a different note, the other day I bought a computer keyboard on eBay and it was delivered the next day by Amazon. WTF?

A lot of eBay sellers are also Amazon sellers and they use Amazon Fulfillment to ship their eBay orders.
About ⅔ of my new non- collectible eBay purchases get fulfilled by Amazon now. Hell of it is- you can usually pay less on eBay than on Amazon for the same product from the same seller.

You sign up to Amazon Prime , and you can then list any item that appears on Amazon on Ebay with a 20% markup and offer free postage and pocket the 10% difference less the Amazon Prime fee , If you look on Amazon for your keyboard you will find it cheaper than you paid on Ebay

Kodak's demise was a tragedy of not looking forward but this has repercussions now as someone has Kodak's name and sells cheap rubbish like batteries as Kodak 1 Don't buy the, !
