Indian Fake “HMV” machines.
I’m curious what y’all thoughts are. Mine was absolutely terrible. I knew it was fake when I bought it....I just wanted to pretend like I had a real phonograph x3. Thankfully I now own 1 real one.

We call them "crapophones". There is a section of the board devoted to them and many posts to help beginners identify and avoid them.

Yes, they are terrible--I took an older one once & turned it into a fairly OK-ish copy that kind of looked more authentic, but it couldn't help the sound quality because it didn't sound very good anyway.
Save it for parts. You may want to add a different reproducer someday & try to make a little "nicer" phonograph. But then you just got a genuine Victrola.

They are called crapophones because they are crappy. I cringe whenever I see one featured in a movie, TV show or advert.
