Thank God that it was only Post-1940 machines....lol...

I'd say that it really depends on the animals...

My two adorable Tonkinese (Siamese and Burmese mix)..both brothers... literally never jump on anything...

But one of them does like to sleep underneath my C-150 and my Amberola 75....but that's about it...

They could care less about anything wood any wouldn't ever touch any of it...

My cat has never touched the grilles on my Credenzas or Philharmonic—and they are closed most of the time—but she jumped about a foot in the air once when she was walking past one and she was startled by something loud from the horn just as she passed in front of it. At least she didn’t try to attack it.
