I made the yoke that holds the tone arm in the back bracket. I played the Victor O for the first time today and was pleased because it made it through a 10" record. In addition to the Victor O, I have been working on a 1960s Schwinn Starlet. It's also turning out quite good. I need to air brush the red trim on the horn.

Nice job on the O!!!! :D :D :D I knew it went to the right person to bring it back to life. Thanks for saving the notes with it mentioning it survived a fire. Great job with making a yoke for the tone arm. I can't wait to see how your air brush job works on the horn.

Wish me luck. I've never used an air brush. Anyone have advice? I'll play with it first. Jerry

I do a lot of airbrushing. My advice:

1. Practice, practice, practice!
2. Thin the paint to the consistency of skim milk.
3. Strain the thinned paint to help prevent clogging and splatters.
4. Start with fairly low air pressure. I generally airbrush at around 20 psi. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
5. I recommend using a moisture trap if possible.
6. Start light and build your color coverage.

Are you using a single or dual action airbrush?

Good luck!

Almost finished. I need to apply the Cline decal and give the horn some clear coat. I can't take credit for the trim paint on the horn. I took it to Marx's Hot Rods and he did an excellent job. He painted my Mustang a few years ago and has helped straighten the fenders on my Donald Duck bike, repaired the plastic on a big Nipper, and now this Victor O.

All finished. Todays's clear coat finished the job. The two photos below show where I started and ended.
