Thanks Raphael for the new addition to the collection, the 1080 is one of my favorites. Also much thanks to Jukebox Joe for fixing the few little items that got knocked out of kilter from my transport.

Hey, as far as that big Multiphone goes Alex Kirtley has a three-spring Triton motor at a great price in the Yankee Trader--it's £60 which comes out to $76.75, and even with shipping it's still cheaper than finding a Triumph parts machine.

Maybe starting from there & either finding or copying the rest of the parts could make a functional Multiphone.

Thanks folks for the nice comments and suggestions. Contrary to my certain actions, I’m actually still in the direction of reducing my collection. My curvy and upright category is more than complete. I also have other projects to complete before I ever worry about completing or even worrying about acummulating parts for the Multiphone. Unless those parts actually came from a Multiphone, I currently have no interest. Thanks nonetheless for the tip. It’s amazing how liberating it feels to not be constantly compelled to accumulate more parts and to have my project list down to what I think I will realistically finish in the remainder of my years.

Hi Victrola Monkey, I also bought a non functioning Multiphone and was content to just have a beautiful piece of furniture, then after 20 plus years I finally bit the bullet and had it restored two years ago. I thought there is only one or maybe two guys that could do the restoration and there not getting any younger so I took the plunge. It was brutally painful on the pocket book ,costing twice what I paid for the machine, but now after two years the pain has subsided and I have a functioning piece of history.

Thanks for sharing your story. I will likely take that long, if ever, to complete it. Though, you folks have manage to get me to breakdown to now consider buying a complete functioning Triumph. To see how they work and sound. I only just read up on the basic basics on the classes and styles of cylinder type of Edison’s. Up to this point, I have warded off cylinder and external horn machines. The non-functioning Multiphone didn’t count in breaking my self imposed collection limits, the Triumph certainly does. I’ll just do my best not to expand further. I already had to accept letting go of a few of my previous favorites to justify getting the two jukeboxes.
