Edison Bell Electron EB34S UK EBay listing

Post by Antonia E »

Hey all,

Spotted this while having a browse today. It’s not quite my cup of tea, but I grabbed the details for here in case anyone might be interested. It does come from a seller with no previous feedback, but perhaps if the knowledgable eyes here might be able to give it a more discerning look over! What do people think?

I once owned the top of the range red version with gilt fittings. With the album removed it would play with the lid closed, making it a transportable rather than a portable.

It's weak point is the complex pot metal tonearm, prone to breakage beneath the motor board where it joins the horn. I hope the seller knows how to pack a gramophone properly, otherwise there could be trouble in transit. In good condition this model is a fine performer with it's double spring motor and excellent Electrotone soundbox.

Excuse the pre-digital image. It was a long time ago.
