Slightly confusing - the description gives the location as Malaysia, not Southampton!

The machine's location is unclear, but the listing has been ended early at £11. Someone probably made the seller an offer he could not refuse.
He is listed as based in the UK, but the listing suggests that English may not be his first language.

That was astonishingly quick. I wonder what the price was - it looked nice apart from rust patina on the horn. Here are the other photos for posterity. The seller mentioned it would come with a No. 4 soundbox, not the Exhibition shown.

Looks like a nice machine. I once went to an Indian wedding in Petaling Jaya---had to eat tapioca off banana leaves with my fingers whilst sitting cross-legged on the floor which I remember as being a little challenging ! Happy days.............

That's only a couple more pounds than the listing price in the 1928 catalog.
(and no, I didn't get it :D :( )
“The cup of tea on arrival at a country house is a thing which, as a rule, I particularly enjoy. I like the crackling logs, the shaded lights, the scent of buttered toast, the general atmosphere of leisured cosiness.”
