SOLD: Emile Berliner Mkr of Microphone signed $65

Here's a rarity-- This Book-- "Emile Berliner- Maker of the Microphone" was published in 1926. Excellent biography of Berliner's life. It includes chapters on the "Birth of the Talking Machine" and "Invention of the Gramophone"

This copy has the hard to find dust jacket

Copies signed by the author and sometimes by Emile Berliner turn up-

BUT- This copy is signed by Berliner's wife Cora- Copy was given to her friend Louise Clyde in 1939.

Inside front cover, Ms. Clyde wrote her name and says it is from "Mrs. Emile Berliner 1939"

Then a few pages over Cora Berliner wrote:
"To Louise Mitchell Clyde from her friend Cora Berliner July 30, 1939"

Dust jacket has a few small tears, but is remarkably intact for an 80 year old book. If you have a copy signed by Emile, this would be a great compliment to it.
