Even Wayfair is apparently getting into this hobby now...

Post by brianu »

Spotted this Wayfair ad today on my Instagram feed. Seriously. Handcrafted in India, with a country of origin being China... at least they’re upfront about things... “authentic-looking,” but “not meant to play records.”

All the more reason to educate the public wherever and whenever the opportunity arises about the differences between The Real McCoy's and the Phony ones. Mo pun intended...unless of course you want to see one...

So you're suggesting instead of "crapophones" we should call them "gramophonies"? :)

Well, if in the United States, the original moniker is still the best one. But if overseas, then "gramophonies" would work. ;)

Maybe "Craphophonies" (with apologies to Columbia owners) or Phonygraphs.
