History of the Gramophone "News Reel"

Post by Neophone »

Folks,

Here's an interesting old short subject/news reel piece from Britain called Immortal Voices from Britishpathé

I noticed an early Victor or HMV is mistakenly referred to as an Edison. I do like the animations showing vertical and lateral recording and the sound-box action.

Regards,
John

I watched this the other day, and had to laugh when they said the Berliner "first saw the light of day in 1870".
