Nipper Tray
Does anyone have one of these? I'm sure they made reproductions over the years but I would like to know how to distinguish a reproduction from an original. Does this one look original? It is in an auction tomorrow and I am interested but don't know what an original is worth as apposed to a reproduction. Anyone know?

I've never seen a tray this size (I'm assuming it's about 16" across) that was original. I think they were made back in the eighties or nineties and it shouldn't sell for very much money. You occasionally see original tip trays that are quite small and sell for big bucks. I hope this helps. Jerry Blais

Re: Nipper Tray
Thanks for the information, Jerry. I really appreciate it.
I had a feeling that it probably wasn't from the teens or twenties. I remember reading a post on this forum or possibly another that the tip trays can be fairly valuable. But I just wasn't sure about the bigger trays. I am not sure how big the one is at auction, but it does appear to be larger. Either way, thanks again for the information!
