Victor 8-30 refinished?

Post by Ho_Hum »

Does this 8-30 I am looking into appear refinished poorly? I think it looks good but I haven't been around the later victor finishes much.

I don't know either but it is beautiful whatever it is. The door pattern almost looks like a sunburst finish.

Well I am alright with a beautiful refinish job, so I'll probably go through with it anyway.

The blended/shaded finish on this 8-30 looks completely original and correct from what I can see. What makes you think this piece has been refinished???

Paranoia after a very regretful purchase of a refinished machine recently, lol

That blended finish would be hard to pull off as a refinish job... I think it's original.

I also believe it's original. Looks 100% legit. The scuffing along the base molding likely would not be there if it were refinished. What is the condition of the finish on the top surface of the lid? Most people never photograph that area as it's usually the worst spot on the whole cabinet. Hope you decide to get it, they are wonderful things!

I agree, the finish looks to be original. What does the top of the lid look like?
