Re: WANTED: Mint Mahogany or Waxed Oak L-door Victrola
Even a machine that has been well stored or kept in a home since new will show signs of age. The wood and finish ages, platings wear and react to the body’s chemicals. There is no getting around that. Many of us rejuvenate the aged finishes to varying degrees, (I prefer to preserve as much of the original owners touch and honest wear as possible while making the machine look presentable and well cared for). For a machine to look truly mint generally requires a complete restoration. Good luck with you search and I hope that you prove me wrong.

Re: WANTED: Mint Mahogany or Waxed Oak L-door Victrola
I own an L-Door that I may consider selling. It is 100% original BUT the reproducer needs to be rebuilt and there is an issue where it connects to the tone-arm. It is currently not attached because I am just using the Victrola as a display piece at my vacation home in the mountains (lid stays closed). I will take a look at it in the near future and maybe grab some pics. If it isn't a nice as I remember it, I won't bother you with it....
