Early Zonophone Lineup - finally completed

Post by Mlund2020 »

Completing the early Zonophone lineup has long been on my wish list. Today with the acquisition of the hard to find early Zonophone Concert Grand, I can mark the early Zonophone lineup off my wish list.

What a great collection of Zonos! Is that a double-sided Edison Automatic or Edison "Manhattan"? Would love to see pics of that one in the future.

Yes. It is a Dual Manhattan Coin-op. The mechanisms are currently removed and are being restored. I was recently (just today) able to obtain and upgrade the earphones to the preriod correct metal earcups. In the first two pictures from today, you can see the metal earcups that I just received today and you will also notice that the mechanisms have been removed (currently being restored).

Great lineup of Zonophones!

And you are so lucky to find those earcups for the Manhattan. Talk about rare...

WOW, to accomplish something like that is unbelievable. I think collectors have to get a concept of a phonograph museum to house their collections for the world to see, in the future and not let them be auction orphans

Mike, the "new" Zono looks great... can't wait to stop by to see your new additions...
