"Unknown" is the seller's description, but they are aware of the similarity to the Cliftophone design. There is some writing on the back, but the seller has not posted a good picture of it.

The bakelite backing reminds me of Russian soundboxes, but I have never seen such horizontal designs other than in Cliftophones.
