I have seen internal horns insulated on the outside in an attempt to boost the bass frequencies, but never before on the inside :!: .
What were they thinking? If the volume was too loud they could have controlled it with the doors.

What an amazing solution to turning down the volume :o
If every gramophone "repair" was this easy, it would be great though:)
