Wouldn't this be a common part, available from the usual suppliers?
I suspect I'm about to learn something...!

I assume that it might be common but I would rather see if somebody on the forum wanted to make a few extra bucks and sell a spare. Just trying to help a brother out.
George - are these always sleeved? I don't think I have seen this before.

I noticed that sleeve, and wondered. I have 3 suitcase Standards, but none of them have that feature.MTPhono wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:43 pm George - are these always sleeved? I don't think I have seen this before.

None of mine are sleeved, and they range from extremely low serial number to near end of production.

Could that be an after marked add on when someone needed a bearing. That is the first one I have ever seen. I wonder if a standard bearing will fit in there after the sleeve is removed. If not you may have to have one machined to fit. Tom

This came from Dave Heitz - is this a mod he may have done for some reason?TinfoilPhono wrote: Wed Feb 10, 2021 10:57 pm None of mine are sleeved, and they range from extremely low serial number to near end of production.

Alas, I have no idea. He may well have found it that way.

With the sleeve in place I wonder how it would hold the bearing in place. The sleeve would also have to be drilled to hold the bearing in place. I would suspect a standard bearing would fit in the sleeve. Tom
