It's surprising how often Columbia Type B "Eagle" Graphophones are found with the belt cover missing. Apparently when some people replaced a broken or stretched belt, they didn't bother to replace the cover.
It is especially hard to find one for the "caseless" Eagle, sold without the usual wooden base and lid. Without a base, there was no patent plate so the serial number was stamped on the belt cover. These represent only a tiny fraction of total production so it's rare indeed to find one with a serial number.
Here's your chance to obtain one of these very elusive parts. $75 postpaid in the US.
