You are right that it is amazingly effective. At first I thought that the ramp/ funnel were misaligned only to eventually discover that modern zinc pennies miss the funnel every time, but older copper pennies hit it perfectly.TinfoilPhono wrote: Mon Feb 15, 2021 3:45 pm The coin ramp and funnel make up a crude but surprisingly effective slug rejector. Any coin (or slug) that is not the correct weight will overshoot or fall short. Plus, there's a magnet under the end of the ramp to give just enough attraction to interrupt the travel of any steel slugs or washers. It's fun to watch but the designers didn't care about that -- they just wanted to ensure proper payment for each tune.
Congratulations, that is a beauty!! The single Manhattan’s have their own unique and awesome look.tictalk wrote: Mon Feb 15, 2021 3:45 pm That is an amazingly rare machine, congratulations on getting it going! Shawn O'Rourke helped me with mine as well, he is as handy as a pocket on a shirt, although mine is just the run of the mill single Manhattan.
