Hello all
Well, after several years of looking for an original brake for my 1910 rear mount Zonophone, I finally acquired one. (thanks Mark) It's missing the spring. Could anyone post a pic of the underside of the brake so I can see what kind, what size, and how the spring is attached. Any help would be much appreciated.

I had a rear mount Zono that was missing the brake spring and I made one out of a small stainless steel ruler cut to the correct shape...
Unfortunately I don't have the machine any longer, so can't take a picture. If someone could take a good clear picture or trace the outline of an original, it is easy to make one. Post a pic of the brake you have to make sure we're on the same page. Mine had a lever that when turned, pushed the spring against the edge of the turntable to stop it...

OK Curt here are the pics. There is a small post in the body and an identical post on the lever. does it just need to have small spring just connecting to the two posts? Like I said before, an example would help.

Hope this helps...
The brake is shown in both positions and the sketch shows the basic shape of the spring. The spring is made so that the two hooked ends tend to push away from each other.
