Victrola speed control and brake leather diameter?

Anyone happen to know the diameter of the leather cord that Victrola uses on their speed control and brake? Would 6mm be large? Are they both the same size? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the size info, i need bulk at a better price, found it on ebay, 3 meters for $4.99. Picked up 3mm (⅛) and 5mm to have on hand.

Can you share the listing to what you bought on e-Bay? Is more available from the seller?? I don't like the look of the black around the outside.

So by the way, 3mm is WAY too small. I don't even know why I ordered without measuring for myself. At least it is on a VV-X, maybe 3mm is enough for other machines? Not mine. Anybody need some leather to make jewelry with? I have a few yards

I get mine from a leather belt shop. The hole they punch in the thicker belts or any of the leather work will work. Mostly they offer it for free because it is scrap. Nice too because it is cut to size.
