Edison Music Master Horn Collar Screws

Post by JLH »

Looking to determine what is the correct type of screw to attach the nickel plated collar to the wooden horn. My mahogany 21 inch music master radio horn uses threaded screws with a nut and washer on the inside of the horn. The oak horn I recently purchased does not have any screws with it so I don't have a reference. Is is a small wood screw that just goes into the wood or a threaded screw like on my mahogany one? Thanks for any guidance.

The collar ends on the cygnet wood horns were held on with very small, very short wood screws. You would not see or feel anything if you reached into the interior part of the horn. Those screws are very small and would be a specialty item if you can even find a supplier. It's worth the effort to try to locate some somewhere.

Ron Sitko has these screws which I have used with great success.
