Help identifying Edison Cilinder

Post by BobMc »

Hi, I don’t know or remember how to ask a question on the talking machine forum.. I tried reading the help and faq sections but can’t
understand it..
I have an Edison cylinder that I can only see partial letters and numbers, it appears to be in German. Any help would be great..
This is what I can discern so fat.

EDISON CYLINDER. 5471. ?

DRP.3. GESANG U BEIN ALTES BERLIN

GESANG U BEIN ALTES BERLIN. Translates to. SINGING U LEG OLD BERLIN. On GOOGLE

Dear BobMc,
It looks as though it could be:

No. 15471 Du Mein Altes Berlin - "Auf Ins Metropol" sung by Max Steidl

All the best

Thank you for the answer about my unidntified cylinder. You were exactly
correct. An other collector sent me the same information as you did.
Very kind of you to answer me. Bobmc
