This looks unusual, maybe a combination of record player and pancake maker!

I had one with an electric motor years ago. It had the acoustic qualities of a cardboard box. The horn portion is made of masonite and is quite heavy. It wears out records pretty well :-)

This one isn't made of masonite. Its much too light for that and has creased easily like thin cardboard. Where the paint has flaked off you can see the thin card backing.

I can't comment on its record wearing properties as I haven't played any one record enough on it to notice any discernible wear.
