I am looking for an amplifier for a late production 10-70. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are you certain your VE10-70E had the late production AP-736 amplifier and not the Tomcat AP-952? If you are not certain, one way to check is take the resistance reading of the pickup coil. Around 600 ohms Ω be for the Tomcat amp. If it is around 5Ω to 15 Ω then it is for the AP-736 amp.

I will try to help you find which you are certain you need.

Yes the tomcat has a different bolt pattern and will not bolt to the cabinet and the wiring harness is also different.

Oh of course the harness on the 736 amp would be completely different as well. :) Also I did not realize who I was replying too until I spoke to Chuck yesterday. Hey Roy it has been a long time! ;)
