Hold on Hailey..

First, sorry about your brother...terrible thing and nothing on this planet can replace that..

Looking at the thread, You committed this transaction to Rich first...if you were going by the time stamps, then you should have checked that before you committed to Rich and asked him about preferred shipping methods..

I have had folks do me this way too and it’s not a happy experience..usually people post a reply on the thread as to PM sent to reserve their place...the “first guy” didn’t do that, so Rich should have been the buyer since you made a commitment to him publicly..

Not my affairs, but I have seen others beaten up over this same issue too many times..

By the way, I’ve dealt with Rich myself and picked his brain on information about things...I’ve never felt that greed was his motivation...I’ve always felt him to be upstanding and an asset around here...

Best of luck to you, and again, sorry for your misfortune...

You’re right. Not your affair. I posted my explanation.

Sorry to hear about your brother Doug! For anyone who doesn't know Doug, he is generous and trustworthy. Mistakes on a cellphone can easily be made--and Doug doesn't use a computer, just the phone. This is a hobby and it is supposed to be fun! Let's cut a fellow collector a little slack--I accept his explanation. Those brown wax cylinders were a great deal, and especially in the busy bee boxes. I wish I had seen them, and would have gladly paid that price. Whoever got them, got a great deal, and Doug was true to whoever it was, as they responded first.

Thanks for the kind words. Money, greed, or desire to have everything is far from what motivates me. I’ve bought things from Doug before and always found both him and his prices to be very fair. I just think we all should follow the procedures we post. I’m not the least bit upset I didn’t get these and wish Doug the best.

I’m also very sorry for the lose of his brother.
