Not another Emerson ----NO TWO
2020 was a decent year in collecting for me, with 2 Emerson models joining the collection. Both Euphonics ----that I never knew existed until a few years ago. The first, a small "Consolette" version arriving in the from NY state and the second even though purchased last year just arrived this past weekend from Ohio, similar along the lines of a "Colony". Hopefully will be able to post pictures in the future. Still looking for two other models I know were made but are not in the collection yet ---a internal horn table model and a Louis XV.

Glad you found two 2020 treasures. In spite of Covid it was good for me as well. But I've really missed the social part of the hobby.
Happy 2021,

Is the Louis XV the one commonly featured in record sleeves?

Re: Not another Emerson ----NO TWO
Hey Shane, The one seen on most record sleeves is an upright Model 20---their top of the line upright. The Louis XV was their top of the line console model, with the lid and Music Master Horn located in the center of machine. This was followed by the Burgandy, which also had the lid and horn in the center, all other consoles had lids that opened on the right-side (facing the machine), in 1924 Emerson, under new ownership offered the first Phono/ Radio model with the lid on the right-side for the phonograph and the left lid for the battery-powered Federal radio (a 140 panel). How are things in Australia ? I think of the devastating fire that ravaged the land, people, and animals, hope you were in a safe area.
