FOUND- Long Shot- White Magnavox Changer

Post by gramophone-georg »

Hi Group-

I know that this isn't the most ideal forum for posting something like this, but I know this crowd and besides- this WILL play 78s, so... I'm looking for a Magnavox changer, similar to the one pictured here, in white, for a custom project. Would prefer super clean working condition with a good cartridge and stylus, but will consider one needing parts/ repairs, or complete in unknown condition. PM me if you have something or email me at [email protected].

Thanks much!

I've never seen one of those... Keep us posted on your project.

And... FOUND, thanks to a fellow TMF member!

Curt- basically I am going to construct a wall mounted portable from a tube type Magnavox tuner and amp, a pair of West German Canton Carat 920 bookshelf speakers, and this turntable. I always seem to prefer oddball stuff, so I decided I would hold out for a white changer. Cabinet will likely be maple burl veneer.

That sounds like a great project. I sure hope you will present your finished product here.

Thanks

Sure! Maybe I will post in the Parlor. Didn't think there would be much interest in something like this here- but that's what I get for thinking!
I passed my old Dual/ Sanyo/ big Magnavox end table speakers setup on to a friend thinking I would just use the huge Telefunken console in the main living area for LPs but then realized I miss having one in my record room/ huge old changer room/ office, so a wall mount will fit the bill without taking up floor space.
