Oak Sonora Grand
It took a number of years but the owner of this oak Sonora Grand finally decided to sell it. He had it for over 40 years. The outside was refinished prior to him getting it. I love the oak graining. Now the hunt is on for the tilt out record sleeves.

Here is a picture with better lighting. It was pretty overcast for the other pictures.

Re: Oak Sonora Grand
It truly is a grand sight to see your Sonora look so nice. My Invincible came with tilt out sleeves, but the paper they were manufactured with simply didn't stand the test of time. The were so brittle that they couldn't be handled at all without falling apart. I ended up removing the handful of survivors and setting them aside in hopes of one day finding a substitute. Sonora made beautiful albums which fit perfectly inside the storage area, but I have only found one for sale which I snapped up immediately.

Could the originals be copied and duplicated? It would probably require making each one by hand, since there isn't a huge market for them...

I sure would be interested if someone figures out how to make them.Curt A wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:16 pm Could the originals be copied and duplicated? It would probably require making each one by hand, since there isn't a huge market for them...
