I have a chance to purchase this for 150 Canadian, is it an American made
motor and arm??

Since we can't see the motor, do you want us to guess? It's a Canadian machine made in Toronto - probably made with US parts...
The pic of the tonearm isn't clear, either... but if you like it, $120 US ($150 Canadian) isn't a bad price...
