The triangular cabinet makes me think this one is a rare "Masonic" model...

Shane, your cabinet paint is clearly the winner, but I am concerned that your winding handle is not at the "correct crapophone angle"...

eBay Item #250735691333

I'm not suggesting this is a crapophone, but why I am uncomfortable about the tone arm? Something seems wrong.

It could be a frankenphone. The case looks like a late Victor I. Check under the turntable to see if there are extra or plugged up holes. Also, check the crank area.

I wonder what the poor HMV portable that donated its heart for this monstrosity would think?

From seller: NOTE: Missing needle. The brass "Speaker" is loose at the point of connection. Needs to be properly attached. Has some oxide mark on the side.

I love the idea of not bothering to get a replacement elbow and just shoving the horn on heavenwards. Perhaps it's serenading the portable that made it possible?

Just click on the thumb pictures on the bottom of the website to enlarge. You can also listen to this machine, for that click on Musikhörprobe. At least with Black Bottom you can clearly hear the losing speed at the end. Anyway, it is properly described and not deceptive.

And this here is even a lot more remarkable, the Klosettophon (Toilet-O-Phone), an ingenius combination of a crapophone and a toilet bowl. This dealer certainly has a good humor. Flush it well!

That German site is too funny to be true. Just look around and read his comments with other 'real life' gramophones. I just wonder, is this a spoof site, or is he really selling machines?
