It seems that's a very clean job! Also the color of the oak is matching between the two lids and the finish is very good! That's a good joke...

Well, we learn something new every day. The main thing when this happens is to remain "clam" and move on to the next new item. ;). Steve, you are toooooo funny!!!!!!.

Thanks for noticing Wayne. I thought a little levity might help Jerry overcome his sudden shellfish allergy..

Jerry,
That machine is pretty neat. It is a real interesting piece of "Make Do. Renew". The work must have been done a lot of years ago. It's very unusual and cool looking.

I have to admit, my first thought was that it looked like a rather clever marriage of cannibalized parts, (lids, grille, etc.), but I didn't want to voice that... because, let's face it, there is SOOO much I do not know about talking machines.

However, now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, I will say that it is one of the best looking frankenphones I have seen! :rose:

Well.... how does it sound ? :coffee:

(Is it my imagination, or is the "Vitanola" decal slightly askew ?)

The Vitanola decal is upside down. My heart sank when I saw that. I'm just going to get rid of it. It's at the local antique shop and I should net $100. Anyone want it?
