Re: Help identifying this phonograph
Without looking or researching, I am thinking Symphony/Harmony.... one of the Columbia products? We'll see how close I am.....

Hey Chris I was looking online and that brass piece on the motor looks weird. I saw one on a Standard Talking Machine model B. Still trying to get information. Thanks for your help.

The spindle is definitely a Columbia piece...

Re: Help identifying this phonograph
To be precise, you could call it an Oxford BZH too--These were sold in the Sears catalog under the Oxford brand for $9.95. I used to have one & they sound very nice. This was before they switched to the Silvertone branding.
I believe I was told the date is from about 1912 to 1916. Cute little phonograph.
If you need side columns I have some from a parted-out example.

It's pretty much complete except for the turntable and reproducer. Thank you for the offer. If you know of anyone who might have a turntable or reproducer that would be great.

Re: Help identifying this phonograph
With the discovery of this information, the good news is that the turntable and the reproducer should not be too hard to find. The simplest way would be to monitor ebay listings. Or, you could post a "wanted" ad on the Yankee Trader section of this forum, now that you know the exact model. If you wanted a challenge, you could shop around and wait for the right item at the right price - even if it takes some time.
In some other cases with rarer machines, collectors have to jump on the item as soon as it "comes to market" and not be as picky. It all comes down to your timetable and how rare the part may be....
Good luck - I will keep my eyes open in my travels. I think you will come across the parts and complete your machine, though. Enjoy the hunt...

I think that the hunt is just as gratifying as the end product. Thank you.
