Music Master Horn Question

Post by mariof »

Hi,

I was wondering...are the larger Music Master Radio Horns (the wooden bell) the same dimensions as the Edison MM?

Cheers,
Mario

Yes, the large radio Music Master bells are the same size as the phonograph version. The radio decals would have to be removed probably requiring a refinish. Also the metal ring might need to be repositioned but I'm not sure about this.

The metal ring is different on the radio horns, but the wood bell is the same. You'll have to get the right metal ring or collar for it to work on your Edison. And of course the decals are wrong like Jerry said.

On the radio neck it just turns and hangs on a rivet. They didn't need to make the connection so it could hold the weight of the neck, like it would on any cylinder machine except the Opera.
