Phonograph demonstrations in the 1890s

There was a man in the town I live in with the last name of Comfort.Mr.Comfort was a jeweler who was a very talented entertainer. One of the things that he did was do demonstrations of the new Edison Phonograph with the spring motor.He did Phonograph recitals. edisonplayer

His first name was Melville, and his store was located at 25 Lake Street in Owego, NY. edisonplayer.

I've never seen a flyer advertising one of Melville Comfort's phonograph concerts,but I a couple for someone in Lestershire,NY.edisonplayer.
