Here is an obscure auto-stop device for the Edison Home cylinder phonograph- a Utica brake, which is a cast piece mounted to the half-nut adjustment bar. When the phonograph is operating and halfnut is tracking the carriage, a section of rubber on the Utica brake will make contact with the mandrel and near instantly stop it from rotating, effectively turning the motor off, bypassing the on/off switch. A clever tool.
**Special thanks to Wyatt Markus for identification of this part.
Price is $55 shipped anywhere in the continental US. Shipment elsewhere at cost.
