Columbia Treadle Shaver

Post by Phono-Phan »

Was this a legitimate listing on Ebay?

Seems too good to be true at $400 even though it is just the shaver.

I bought it. I am trying to arrange freight shipping and pick up now. I’ve been in contact with the seller who seems legit.. I guess we will see when it arrives. I think the ‘local pick up only’ kept a lot of people from bidding (myself included - almost). I contacted the seller early on to see about arranging shipping or freight pick up and she was open to this. It will definitely be a bargain if everything goes as planned.

After some difficulty with the shipping company, the Columbia Shaver is now in route to it’s new home in my collection.

Wow. This looks amazing.

I don't collect phonographs but I would certainly want this in my collection. The kind of item I would never have known existed. Fantastic item I think.
