Interesting Facts: lowest cost Columbia floor model. Earlier models had a grill, this one has Tone Control Shutters. For $10 extra a set of 5 record albums could be purchased (info from Baumbach- Columbia Phonographs Vol II)

An advantage that you don't need a table to place your tabletop!
In my record room I use a hmv127 tabletop (with lid) which is located on a suitable high table, just the size of the machine. Below the table feet I've placed round disks of thick felt, so I'm able to slide the entire thing from side to side of the small room in order to access the records in the shelves... The machine is placed in front of the big Expedit shelf. There's no more room.
But the table is a bit weak, so I don't know how long it will take to tumble down the entire thing in one of those movements. ..

One has to appreciate the wide variety of designs by the Columbia. Not all of them are on par with the Grafonola Deluxe, but interesting in their own way.

Call me crazy, but I've always had a soft spot for those "table model on stilts" designs (like my own Edison A-150). Admittedly, this Columbia machine is about as basic an example as would be possible, but still, I think it has its charms.
