Edison A-450
I’m so proud to have added this A-450 to my collection. This is the machine Raphael found for me. It is in stunning original condition, the bed plate and horn are near mint. The original finish shines. It’s a really neat machine with the earlier mech. Notable on this machine, it has no mute ball or evidence of never having one. It also has the double spring motor. If anyone knows more about this model all information would be greatly appreciated.

I believe George P & Tim have a good write-up on this incredible model in one of their books. I'm sure if you PM George P (phonogfp), he can assist you as to which one.
I would recommend buying them all.....but, that's just me...

We don't have one of these in the "Featured Phonograph" area. Please consider adding yours there.

Re: Edison A-450
A friend of mine here in Australia had this model about 40 yrs ago. I was fairly new to collecting at the time and thought it was the most beautiful Diamond Disc machine I'd ever see, and that still holds true.
These really are stunning machines to see in person.
I must admit though I've always thought that lid carving would be a pain to keep dusted.
Congratulations on acquiring what surely must be one of the most spectacular commercial machines to ever come out of the Edison factory.

To be honest I’m not sure why they turn sideways, they uploaded normally, and when I post they end up sideways. However, if you click on the photo on the post they turn right side up

The A-450 is in my top three dream machines so I'm quite envious of such a magnificent example. Congratulations.
