I read the New Amberola Phonograph advertisement and find it funny that Edison was using a couple of modern-day marketing tricks to get people to buy his phonographs. It claims that you can get a free trial and then, if you decide to keep it, you just pay $1. It then mentions (in small letters) that there are monthly payments. Anyway, thanks for sharing these interesting advertisements with us!

Thanks for posting.
It's interesting to compare them to the Victor ads.
Victor ads are all glamour, glitz, high society and culture.
Edison's are more plain, factual and emphasize technical superiority....

Not to mention certainty: "Why there can NEVER be a better phonograph"! I'll think of that every time I hear a lab model scrape its way through a diamond disc.
