I've had Grafonolas whose serial numbers were stamped beneath the turntable on the motor housing. Try removing the turntable and see if something's there.

Found it ! Stamped into the circular top-plate of the motor.

No. 30753

Just bought a Grafonola...
Hey so i popped off the platter and it said stamped in the metal:

No. 00492
AM. GRAPHOPHONE Co.
BRIDGEPORT, CONN.
U.S.A.
PAT. APPL'D FOR

Did you check there? Did they stop at some point? When did they recieve the pat?
