I don't think this was issued on Edison cylinder.

It was on Royal Purple 29062 played by Albert Spalding (who else!).
These do turn up so you shouldn't have to wait too long before you find a copy.
All the best

I think this was released as a royal purple amberol, but also as a regular amberol. I just bought a group of four cylinders off eBay. One of them had the original box for Sherzo-tarentelle but unfortunately inside was a different cylinder. Still looking! I’ve got the box, now I just need the cylinder! It’s an amazing piece if you haven’t heard it!

Re: Wanted: Scherzo-Tarentelle (Wieniawski) Cylinder
Good luck finding that one. Those "D" series wax Amberols were never sold. They were only given to customers who successfully referred a friend to an Edison dealer, and only if the friend bought a machine. Referring customers were allowed to pick any 6 of a set of 24 cylinder. These are very hard to find and a complete set is darn near impossible.

Dunno. Is that the same selection Tim?
The Edison Amberol Records listing for November 1920 claims that Royal Purple 29062 was composed by " H. Wieniawski [who] was noted for his astonishing technique as a violinist...."
Allan Sutton in his "Blue Amberol Records A Discography" claims it is by Chabrier, who was a pianist rather than a violinist, so it is a little unlikely and Sutton can sometimes be a little wayward with his composer credits.
