In their defence - it doesn't look all that bad if you had no respect for the hobby. If you do have respect for these antiques, then it makes you cringe.

It's not bad, they should have had double doors at the top, and where the crank was, a push button light switch, or even left the crank in to let people know what it used to be.
Or had a "push catch" for the top door and have it fold down _ would have made more sense.
Also, they could have finished where the motor board was better by making it fit flush.
That piece of plywood in there, is 'very high-school".
The colour on the top door is a little light.
