I'm looking into having new accurately reproduced carrying handles for 2-55 and 2-65 machines made and am wondering how much interest there is.
There may be options such as: A hidden metal band to reinforce the handles to eliminate any chance of breaking again or Replacing the rivets with brass binding barrels and slotted screws for easy installation.
The price depends on how many are sold but should be somewhere around $80-50.
Does this all seem reasonable?
Would anyone be interested?

If you want to sell more of them reach out to the antique typewriter collectors on Facebook. The handle is very similar to the ones on some Remington and Smith-Corona cases in the 1920s and '30s, as well as other brands. I bet you'd be able to sell a handle that fit the 2-55 and 2-65 perfectly, because most typewriter cases have fairly generic hardware.
