Help with Horn * revised , better pictures

Post by columbia1spring »

I bought this horn on the internet, so it’s not in my hands yet.
Any info on this would be nice.
Toy? Homemade?
Here I show it on a Busy Bee Q, next to a Q with a 14” brass horn
Even though not original, you must admit it’s kinda cool looking!

Sorry but not authentic. Looks like something a very very early parts supplier would sell.

Jerry!
About the only thing I knew is that it wasn’t authentic. I’ve seen these from time to time and always thought they were aftermarket or perhaps from a toy of some type. I did do a google search and see them in kinda the same configuration in either black or red, either metal or paper mache. One constant is there very low quality.
TY!

Looks like a ‘Frick Freak’, an approximation produced by Karl Frick of California in the late-1960’s/early-1970’s.

I was thinking Carl Frick as well. Too many Frick parts makes your machine a Frick-O-Phone. But know, a Gourd-O-Horn is a click better. :D
